Schiller DuCanto & Fleck is pleased to announce that Andrea Muchin recently co-presented on “Intersection of Pre-Nups/Divorce and Estate Planning” with Daci Jett of Daci Jett Law, LLC on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 hosted by the Provisors Chicago Estate and Succession Planning Affinity Group.Andrea and Daci shared insights on important topics which should be addressed in prenuptial agreements such as property rights, spousal maintenance, which states’ laws will apply if future disputes arise, the prenuptial enforceability factors to consider in the event of a divorce, as well as ways to protect pre and post marital assets through thoughtful estate and trust planning and the goals which can be achieved even if a party does not have a prenuptial agreement set in place.Throughout her many years of practicing family law, Andrea has handled a wide array of cases involving sophisticated financial issues, business valuations, maintenance, child support, child custody, removal, and parenting issues.
