Schiller DuCanto & Fleck is pleased to announce that partner Michele Jochner will present on “Interlocutory Appeals as of Right (Supreme Court Rule 307(a)(1))” as part of the CLE (Continuing Legal Education) Annual Appellate Law Seminar hosted by the Kane County Bar Association on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.During the live interactive seminar, Michele will be joined by other legal practitioners and Justices of the Illinois Appellate Court to discuss latest trends and best procedures in Illinois appellate practice, including topics on juvenile sentencing, ARDC updates on ethical trends, issue preservation, and more. Appellate justices will also share insight on the new court rules, reopening in person, restrictions, and other important information.Michele regularly speaks on legal issues to groups across the State, including seminars on effective legal writing, appellate advocacy and family law. She has also served as an adjunct professor at both DePaul University College of Law and The John Marshall Law School, and has authored more than 200 articles on legal topics that have appeared in publications nationwide. In testament to her career-long commitment to legal education, the Illinois Supreme Court appointed Michele to serve as the Chair of its Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board.The Kane County Bar Association offers regular programming and complimentary CLE credits to its members.
