Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP is pleased to announce that partner Michele M. Jochner has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors of Scribes – The American Society of Legal Writers. She will join distinguished members of the judiciary, academia and private practice from across the nation to promote excellence in legal writing. Michele takes on this new Board of Directors role with Scribes after having just completed her two-year term as Chair of the DePaul University College of Law Dean’s Advisory Council. Recognizing the importance of giving back to the community, Michele actively helps shape the young minds of legal professionals by mentoring law studentsand new attorneys. Our firm proudly founded the Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center in 2003 which provides DePaul Law students with the opportunity to engage in high-level training and experiential learning in the family law field.Earlier this year, Michele penned the article titled “Good Writing Many Times Can Be Difference Between A Win Or Loss,” featured in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, in which she shared tips on best practices in legal writing that could essentially make or break a case. Michele is well-regarded as a legal scholar, expert writer and educator to law students and attorneys. In May, Michele was selected as the only family law attorney to be named a top 50 most influential woman in law by Law Bulletin Media’s “Salute!
