Schiller DuCanto & Fleck is pleased to announce that partner Michele Jochner recently shared insights on motion practice in the appellate court as part of the CLE (Continuing Legal Education) Annual Appellate Law Seminar hosted by the Kane County Bar Association on Thursday, April 22, 2021.As part of the seminar, Michele collaborated with other legal practitioners and judges to discuss latest trends, best procedures and new developments in Illinois appellate practice. Well-regarded as an expert writer, legal scholar and educator to law students and attorneys, Michele explained what key components should be included in drafting effective appellate motions. She also stressed the importance of being well-versed in procedural rules and staying informed on relevant case law to convey arguments persuasively and effectively.Michele regularly speaks on legal issues to groups across the State, including seminars on effective legal writing, appellate advocacy and family law. She has also served as an adjunct professor at both DePaul University College of Law and The John Marshall Law School.
